Office Escape: Indoor Team Building in The Bay Area’s Varied Climates

Our Office Escape game is the perfect indoor game for team building activities in any sort of inclement weather – and let’s face it: if you live in the Bay Area, you’re used to summer feeling like winter. In fact, the Bay Area has the second highest concentration of micro-climates of any region in the world.

Your teams work hard in your office every day, but how hard is that office working for you? Give them something fun to do that gets them away from their desks and screens. The creativity they tap into during our game also increases productivity, so the company wins too. And best of all, you and your staff can do it while enjoying the finest of modern comforts: heated central air or air conditioning.

In this escape room style game, employees are called to what they believe to be a one hour all-hands meeting in your conference room, only to learn that they’ve been locked inside and must work together to get out. Once the clock has started, the teams are assigned and then asked to solve dozens of puzzles to free themselves from the confines of your conference room. With a wide swath of puzzles catering to different skills, employees must communicate with each other to learn their strengths and weaknesses. This time-sensitive collaborative effort is designed to improve interoffice cooperation and increase productivity by unlocking the hidden potential of every company’s greatest asset: its human capital.

The Adventure Games Challenge: Engaging Activities Your Employees Will Adore

If you’re looking for a breakout year, it’s going to require more than just a winning strategy. It’s going to take a ton of creativity to get to the front of the pack in your industry. That’s why the Adventure Games Challenge is the perfect fit for your team-building activities in the Bay Area.

The game is built from a menu of classics like scavenger hunts or shooting a commercial – but with a twist. This delightful medley of creativity and strategy with a pinch of friendly competition has been a hit over and over again and is a sure-fire way to get your team talking, laughing, and thinking outside of the box.

Our games are fun, but they can be used for more than just employee retention; they can also help decrease stress. A 2023 National Insititue of Health study found a direct connection between increased stress and decreased productivity. Nobody is excited to show up to work when their colleagues are overstressed. They’re on edge, ready for conflict, passive-aggressive behavior, and before you know it, morale is in the gutter.

Where to Eat – Since the Bay Area has an indescribably large number of amazing eateries, we decided to recommend one with an exceptional view. Bull Valley Roadhouse is an absolute cornucopia of delicacies and craft cocktails. But the real treat is the scenery in Port Costa, a charming little gem of a small town nestled deep in the East Bay. It’s a bit of a drive to get there but the scenery is worth it and it’ll be an unforgettable meal to share with your staff.

Where to Stay – If we’re spending the night in the east bay, we’re going to drink in the timeless aesthetic of Julia Morgan’s Berkeley City  Club. Designed and constructed almost a century ago by one of America’s most trailblazing women, the unmistakable style will never lose its charm. The indoor heated swimming pool isn’t so bad either. If you’re in Berkeley, lay your head at this delightful little slice of local history for an experience you and your team won’t forget.
